Do you love to fail? Kiyosaki hated to be able to fail, too. And his/her failures were numerous. He or she also failed in the first business. But, he explains, he went on to succeed later, as a direct result of having failed in the past.
What's that got to do with WLS?
Failure. I haven't so much met an obese man or women yet, who hasn't felt like a failure in the weight loss arena. Sometimes we carry this kind of feeling of failure in to our lives after weight loss surgery. We are so afraid of failing still again. And we compare ourselves to an intense ideal of perfection. We will be able to manage our weight-especially since we've had the surgical treatment.
Failure is inevitable, despite weight loss surgery. POST don't mean absolute, despairing failure. I mean obtaining an "F" in workouts, or in eating for a buffet at a getaway party. I mean the regular failures that can equal to a weight gain after some time, but individually they mean very little with regards to your weight.
Embrace failure.
Kiyosaki says the essential to his success as an entrepreneur is that she has learned to use his or her failures as learning opportunities. He doesn't like failure any longer than the next man, but he knows it's useful and the it will help him become more successful. His failures is also the fuel for his triumph.
Can you use failure as a tactic?
Considering most people who struggle using their weight tend to want to be perfect, putting failure from a desirable light may be hard at the beginning.
You may not prefer to admit failure.
Admitting malfunction is hard. That is why we are now worked so hard to not ever fail, and why we get so devastated when you do. In some means, we have been programmed in order to avoid failure. In school, most of us don't get rewarded with regard to failure. One bad grade will reduce your grade average for the whole year.
But in your life, failing and admitting we've found failed are actually good things. Kiyosaki took the time to stop, admit failure, and examine what went wrong. After that, he tried again, with all the information he had learned from his failure to undertake better.
WLS success relies upon on studying your failures and learning from them.
It used to become that we'd fail, quit, and go on your cookie binge. That paradigm doesn't work for overeaters, and in particular not for WLS sufferers.
The better model with regard to WLS success is far more like Kiyosaki's:
- Fall short. (Remember, this is certain. We are not perfect. This type of failure includes offers like skipping your vitamins, over eating a donut, or workout sessions only the fingers that will work the remote).
- Admit it. Tell someone. Post it on the NAWLS forum, call someone in the support group, go in order to an OA meeting, tell your coach, call somebody, tell your minister. Just exercise.
- Analyze your failure and learn from this. A few months past, I realized that I am greatly subjected to eat something if its sitting out on my kitchen counter. When this husband leaves food out there, I taste it"almost each time. So, instead of denying this behavior and pretending it wasn't everything to worry about, I admitted my grazing to myself also to my support group. Then, I analyzed the situation and established it was happening because I was on the "see-food diet" WHEN I see food, I consume it. Then, I asked my family that can put their food out regarding sight. That simple. And it also worked.
- Fail once more. It's all in your current perspective. By reframing your current view of failure, you can create a powerful tool for success. Says Kiyosaki, "Thomas Edison seemed to be asked to leave college because teachers complained in which he was addled or perhaps scatterbrained. Later in existence, he was criticized for having failed over the thousand times before inventing his version belonging to the electric light bulb....then he founded General Utility, one of the most powerful companies on the earth. "
So, be fearless with regards to failure. It will offer you well.
