Dessert Week Offering #4: Nik's Butterfinger Protein Shake

So, Jen posted her Butterscotch Pound Cake this morning. Yummy! I personally adhere strictly to the "three bite rule" when it comes to cake. For me, it's the ONLY way to fly. Your mileage may vary. But those three bites? HEAVEN!

For those who absolutely can't do cake (for whatever reason), here's a great shake that gives you all that butterscotch yumminess you want!

I started making this shake way back when I was a new post-op. I was on a "shakes that taste like candy bars" kick. If you look in the protein shake recipe section of this blog, you'll see that I came up with quite a few variations.

For now, we have the Butterfinger shake! Much as I try, I cannot separate Butterfingers from Bart Simpson. I can only hope this shake makes him proud.

Nik's Butterfinger Protein Shake

Ingredients:

8 oz. milk
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (thisworks well)
1 tbsp sugar-free butterscotch pudding mix,
1 tbsp PB2 (or peanut flour from Trader Joe's)
3 packets no-calorie sweetener (or to taste)
Optional: fat-free whipped topping

Directions:

Mix according to the Triple X method (or not). Pour in a glass and top with a little fat-free whipped topping. Slurp it up!
