My good friend Liz (LizDotCom99 on OH) is a protein snob, and she's the first to admit it. Over this past year and a few months since her surgery, she has struggled to find a protein powder she liked and would actually drink. She's one of the few people on Earth I know who
S'anyway she keeps telling me about these new smoothies in the freezer section at the supermarket, so I had to check them out for myself. We have very similar taste, and Click is one of the few things we disagree on, so I thought I'd probably like it.
I picked one up when I was at Wegman's yesterday and made it last night for my late night snack. The package makes 2 good sized smoothies, so I only used half. The package calls for 1 cup of milk and the whole package to yield 2 smoothies.
It has frozen fruit and yogurt already in it, you have to add your own protein powder. Liz likes Jay Robb , but I used my usual EAS Vanilla Soy Isolate since I don't use whey. On an unrelated note, I was whey intolerant early out, which is why I use soy, but I think my body may have adapted. I use boatloads of the Any Whey Unflavored in recipes and have had zero issues.
Plus I was slurping down shake samples made with Body Fortress at the Holiday Preview last Saturday, and no reaction. Pretty cool how your system adapts over time to things, innit? But I digress. Back to the smoothie!
