Realistic Options for Free Weight Loss Surgery

Although they may not be easy to find, opportunities for free weight loss surgery are out there. If you know where to look, you just might be able to snag the chance to get this life - saving surgery at no cost. Here are a few of the simpler ways to go about it and if these don’t work for you, there are others you can try.
Don’t give up on Insurance
If you've been looking for methods of financing weight loss surgery for a while now, you've probably already experienced what an uphill battle it can be to get insurance coverage for the procedure. While you can appeal the denial, you'll spend an enormous amount of time and energy documenting your need for the surgery, and still aren’t likely to get full coverage. Talk to anyone else considering weight loss surgery and you'll hear the same story - full insurance coverage is a real struggle to get.
That doesn't mean it’s impossible to get, though. They're few and far between, but there are a number of insurance providers that understand how beneficial this surgery can be and are willing to fully cover the expenses involved. In some cases you may be left with a few minor expenses related to post-op care, but often the insurance company will help you out with these, too.
Seek Government Subsidized Care the Right Way
If you live in a country with a national health care system, such as the UK, maybe you've already considered turning there for help only to find out the waiting list is so long it could be years before you get in. If you live in a country that doesn't provide such a system, such as the US, it’s easy to assume the chances of getting government help are slim to none.
Fortunately, though, there’s hope in both cases. The trick is looking for small, local programs supported by the regional government where you live, be it state, province, or county. In some cases, even city governments make such programs available. Of course, they aren’t always so easy to find. To dig up information about them, you'll need to talk with doctors and people in your area who've had weight loss surgery.
